Alive Day
They are thankful that they are alive to tell their stories- and we are too!
Diamond Star is grateful for the opportunity to host a very special type of celebration that is largely unknown to many Americans.
An “Alive Day” is a day that a veteran soberly remembers as the day that they nearly died in combat. According to MilitaryBenefits.info, “many of these veterans have also lost their fellow service members on their Alive Days, making the day one of celebration of their own survival, but also a day to remember and honor the sacrifice of those they served with.”
Many Alive Days are chosen to be celebrated in a quiet day of reflection. Some may celebrate the day, as they would a birthday or anniversary. Many celebrate it as a memorial to their those they have lost.
Alive Day can be a sad day for many veterans, and Diamond Star wants to turn that around and honor them for their service and sacrifice. Let us help you create an Alive Day celebration to bring the serviceman or servicewoman in your life hope for their future.
